For Oracle Solaris, one such program is rdesktop, which can be found on the Solaris Companion Software CD. A remote system can then access the guest console using any RDP client program. Until the Guest Additions are installed, keyboard and mouse operations are captive. When the guest machine starts, a fully featured console window is opened on the host. Select the guest and click the Start button. The most common method is from inside the VirtualBox graphical tool itself.
